I lived in Colon for a year back in 2002. Great place, people there are very likeable and polite.

NO the BLACKS in Panama do not have the Same opportunities as the whites and that is a shame! The Panamanians have to RESPECT them self all the KILLING going on in COLON is crazy. Even the Police are criminals . The law is very bad you would need MONEY to buy your way OUT!I wish colon was the way it was back in the 70's - 90's. Now there is no carnival in colon for you to enjoy carnival you have to go out. Streets are tore up first street by the water can't sit by the water with your family.

WHY:

-has your gov not given the same development opportunities to blacks of Colon as in other parts?

-did your black Olympian doubt treatment he received/ famous black model have to leave Panama to succeed elsewhere saying Panamanians wonder why her?

-are indigenous peoples marginalized?

-was someone laughing about a black expatriate that locals were angry earned more than them that when she was managing despite attempts to derail her, her safety & health were even jeopardized?
