  • This is a good video, thanks for the post.

  • Just saw this dance about 2 years ago while visiting Myrtle Beach...such a smooth dance...FLYING BACK DOWN IN COUPLE OF WEEKS AND I WANT TO KNOW THIS DANCE...Love watching couple do this dance...THE "Great dancers" make this look so easy and their bodies seem to just FLOW with the music...GREAT VIDEO...THANKS FOR POSTING...Kendra

  • Fascinating dance. Clearly related to the West Coast Swing. I do not know which dance was derived from the other. I really like this one. We have several of the Joe Baker instructional videos on WC Swing. I had never heard of the shag until now. My brother is visiting North Carolina and told me about it.

  • In the city I live in, I have never seen anyone dance collegiate shag or the carolina shag... they always do basic Jive, 6 count and 8 count basic Lindy Hop... There's just a small group of us that know several types of dances and dance moves to go with them. Me and my dance partner know the basics of collegiate shag. I'm gonna try to get her to learn this cool style of dancing too after I get better and more comfortable with the collegiate shag. I think this one's gonna be easier to learn.

  • @quatrofoil - I agree. I want to learn how to do this.

  • @chucklzslowV6 agreed

  • what is this music?

  • Great instuctional video. The first time I have ever seen the actual footwork and count. Thanks

  • Thanks! I needed a crash course in this today. lol The style makes it look like your feet are playing the piano keys. Awesome.
