People don't remember this but there were -- believe it! -- racist, sexist, homophobic hippies too. And beatniks. And so on. Any time you get a bunch of white males together you're going to get a percentage of that. Subcultures are highly visible, and so you're able to point the finger and go "Look! Skinheads are racist!" while surprisingly nobody is pointing the finger and going "Look! Racist Wall Street executives!"

@sbskinhead69 blimey, you are upset aren't you. not sure why. "THAT GUY USES FACTS AND KNOWS HOW TO SPELL, GET HIM!" there must be a reason why you didn't like what i wrote, i just want to know what it is. if you can tell me without relying on pathetic insults you get a lollypop. but if insults are all you can come up with, i can top you there too. by the way just in case you're american, it's not your culture.

I hate the sort of commentary you get on things like this. trivialises it. Robert Elms ... for God's sake ... people who make facile links with the class system ... nahh

@sbskinhead69 what i wrote is true, so what's the problem? you can't spell 'know' and don't seem to have any argument. who's the real moron here.

Nice video, the opening scene is in Birmingham City Centre
racism was a sign of the times in the 60's not exclusive to skinheads. there were many black skins. it was a mixture of english and jamaican street culture.

It's amazing how articulate that kid is. British kids can hardly string two words together now, even middle class kids.
All they seem to say these days is, "I was like...and he was like...and then I was like oh my god"
What are they talking about?
