i've seen some really bad ass frount kicks from thai boxing its defo worth training this side of defence up

true true, you knock them down with it plenty of times the will get tired...ive seem many fighters use this as a valuable tool

The push kick is incredibly valuable for both offense and defense. I once heard a Muay Thai Master refer to the push kick as "the electric fence". He said that if you have a great push kick no one will be able to get close enough to you to touch you. Also, A push kick to the stomach of someone on the street that is harassing you will knock the wind out of him and leave him vulnerable so then you will be free to "take him out" as you like.
it will connect if its done fast. also front kicks can be used to make space in between you and the opponent.

It's good practice, if you can practice about 300 per leg a day, and it will help with keeping your balance, and eye coordination amongst other things.
