@McRat1968: this is an italian serenata, very far from the "new-age" atmosphere of Andre Rieu, sorry, but this hungarian gipsy violinist gives a very better interpretation in my opinion in terms of timing, phrasing and drama. For me, they cannot be compared.
Andre Rieu in this piece exagerate and emphasize the clichè of romantic violin playng, as usual like he ever does, by the way i'm not criticizing him but i say just what is true in the history. obviously IMHO

Andre Rieu would be glad if he would be able to play on the violin so! you like him because of that dared only famous! but a hundred times better they are he at him.
-
his magic vibrato makes the g string sounds viola c string. bravo!
a little slower wold be the better for me.

Andre Rieu gives a thousand-times-better performance of this piece.
Rieu's playing makes this precious piece magical and meditational.
This rendition here is more like this guy is playing a dance at a party or wedding.
It is not a xylophone but a zimbalon, a string instrument struck with hammers, popular in Hungary and other Eastern European countries.
