  • @Roikonen94 What if he kicks the side of the knee, not straight forward?

  • @Roikonen94 i knew somebody would say that , wel im prepared for ur quiestion// if you bend it al in like a L shape then its like kicking a rock and it wont break because its al stringt

  • @TheVpersie11 I'll put my money on the knee breaking.

  • Let him kick ur knee hè break his foot And wont kick Any more ;)

  • @yellastud210 Right, that's why America made Bruce Lee famous and was infatuated with him. Quit using an entire country as a copout. Maybe some racist douchbag said something to hurt your feelings, but anyone who thinks race has anything to do with fighting is a complete moron.

  • doing this technique can be risky in my opinion is better to give the knee

  • @KaelinSaint Aaah, I think we are confusing our kicks here, I just realised I was thinking of the three quarter kick, which is perhaps more common, and popularised as a 'roundhouse' in muay thai.

It's just like the 'TKD' roundhouse, which is crappy, but is actually called a crescent kick.

    Mistranslation.

I only know about the way I was taught Muay Thai. My understanding from my instructor is that the "Muay Thai kick" that most MMA fighters learn and teach isn't very Muay Thai. There is supposed to be a downward angle on the kick and the shin is supposed to come in from the hip. It's hard to explain really but I know he kicks really hard and my kicks have improved tremendously from the "MMA kicks" I learned before. The leg is also bent at the knee when it lands.

  • @KaelinSaint Wasn't it Bokator that does the full rotate on a true roundhouse, most MT and Indochinese kickboxers almost wrench the kick straight round, MT kicks are the only roundhouses that could be rolled with this, stuff like Karate, TKD and Chinese ones whip on the pivot and land horizontal, look up Vera's sport science kicks, he's a Muay Fighter, and his Thai style roundhouses land with the toe pointing up.

  • I like this against many MMA fighters because of the way they throw their kicks. The upward angle of the kick hits the thigh and slides up into the hip. If someone throws a real downward chopping Muay Thai kick though.... That will surely hurt. Condition the shins and check should be first defense, second moving in the direction of the kick and catching, third moving into the kick (move away from or towards power) Eating the kick like this should be last resort.
