Here's a check-in on all the work I've been doing on the grow controllers. Get your $100 voucher at www.sparkfun.com, and use it on the wish list I will make to be able to build your own grow controller with instructions I'll release!

  • Great work on streamlining unit one. Love the fact of it running independent of a computer. I will be making one of these myself thanks for sharing all of your hard work. BTW love your thumb drive I have the same one (thanks coral reefer).

  • @jman32turkey Glad you love the thumb drives! Can't wait to get you started!

  • I dont see any heat sinks on that mothorFocker... jus sayin'

  • @greymobvmp Honestly doesn't need any! The current it uses is very resonable, in the microamps, and everything is cool to the touch (never noticed any heat).

  • Wow amazing stuff... Guessing the whole unit must be in the grow room to get readings, or are the sensors bluetooth as well ;-)

  • @MrSquid310 Yep the whole unit (although small) will have to be in the grow room, but you will be able to control it completely from outside (unlike other grow controllers). It will also have a light sensor and will turn off the leds when the other lights are off

  • Smart and cute! Thank you for sharing your genius with the community....you rock girl.

  • Amazing! I would love to see a video of it in operation and the data it gives. I'm not tech savy, but I would love to give this a shot.

  • @EngineeringIsMagic But heat sinks are so damn sexy! I want TWO just because Y:+P
