  • Nobody understand, just who learnd it....Vst-s have better sounding!!!!Reason is a good software,i love it and use it,but Vst synths are better.(more waveforms)

  • @benjoe999 true. i'm planning on using other software soon (live) exactly for that reason.

reason's engine is good. but not good enough for the stuff i want to do :)

  • I'm getting faster modulation when i play higher notes, any way to make it always the same, no matter what octave?

  • @benjoe999

As for waveform generators, THOR is the daddy for me. Dont like using graintables so much due to unpredictability/how hard they are to fit into the mix. You can make any sound you like in Reason, just a different process, because youre splitting the signal manually every step of the way it means you have max control over every single element of it, rather than just having a VST work the magic for you.

  • @djlabrat74

That is nothing, just sounding....The most important is the waveform generators! This is only a closed system,so you can't support new things...

  • @djlabrat74 p.s. Portamomento.

  • @benjoe999 with stereo imagers and Eqing you can make your own vst in reason.

  • Learnt quite abit from this tut ,cheers dude

  • @wildfire2097 no one has ever said that reason isnt good.. I love reason, but why are you insisting that people limit themself to the synths included in it? Like using other synths is some sort of crime.. Not liming yourself and expanding your tool set is what will drive your creative evolution forward. I resample any VST i want and then use it in reason. Your delusional if you think thor and maelstrom and subtractor are competing with hardware synths.. Noisia hasnt used reason in 10 years

  • @snitchnjabbajaw If you follow the rules of what is best? Why? There are no rules, the best is what most suits your creative flow, and massive does just that for me.Ive tried alot of synths, alot of them have their advantages and strong sides, but overall massive always seems to outperform, producing the desired timbre faster and with higher fidelity. Maybe "best" is a loud term thats hard to digest for some other synths fanatics, but thats THE soft synth that id recommend

  • @Clinteastvveed

    There is no Best.

What the hell is with that. Massive is a great synth and so are lots of other. If you follow the rules of what is 'best' then your creativity died a long time.

  • the second exaple sounds boom
