in the video when I slide back to the open position I called it 12 fret by mistake well thats because the 12th fret and open are the same and guess I had that on my mind. one other 7th position I failed to show was at 10 fret string 5,6,9 the 9th string making it a 7th chord and in this case a D7th

  • JO IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU WOULD TOUCH ON THE SUBJECT OF REVERB AND SUSTANE . JO A FRIND OF MINE THAT USES A LOT OF FOOT PEDLES ,(A GOOD FIND NOT MY KIND OF MUSIC)SAID I HEARING THE KIND OF MUSIC YOU LIKE .THAY ARE USING SUSTAIN ,VERY FEW ARE NOT, JOE IS TRUE ,YOU ARE THE BEST ONE TO ASK..YOUR FRIND JIM

  • @country10001 its always nice to have some effects but not overkill. I myself just use a boss-dd-3 and no reverb. but everyone has a different taste when it comes to effects, and about sustain although Ive never had one they have a small box that clips to the side the steel leg that is somewhat a pre amp. a little high in price for me is why I dont have one lol. but the more gas pedal you have left on the volume pedal the more sustain you can gain from one attack on the strings

You are the best, l sure have learned a whole lot from you, l listening to your 7th chord teachings , got a question?? l,m looking at Mel Bays Pedal Steel Guitar Method and he shows you can for example on you third fret that is G on 3 4 5 or 4 5 6 strings go up to your 6th fret and use your F knee lever or raise your E,s and you got G7th or any other combination of frets is the same.

What is your thought on this.

    Thanks A Whole Lot Murray

  • that is correct Murray its a 7th with your E's raised is you add your A pedal it becomes a G

  • Joe,
