A point-of-view shot from the driver's seat of my 0-6-0 Live Steam engine: A complete lap on the 1000+ ft. track at the Finnish Railway Museum, shot with a Canon T2i/550D DSLR, 18-55mm lens at 18 mm, manual exposure 1/30 sec at f:14, ISO set to Auto to take care of changing light levels. The focus is set on the smoke stack, and f:14 gave just enough DOF. Video was downsampled from 1080p25 to 720p25, but YouTube compression has downgraded the quality quite a bit from that...

    hey,

what about this steam engine's weight? 50kg according to your website?

And what is the boiler's capacity for water? Thanks!

  • @obeasthead You must have read wrong - it's well over 100 kg - 120 kg with the boiler (7 liters) and both tanks (4 liters each) full.

  • propane coal?

  • @CGiordano464 Propane. The wooshing sound comes from the two burners in the 50mm diameter flues.

    My website saunalahti.fi/animato/steam explains more.
