With three tons of red concrete and deep tracks Diagram created a minimalistic meteor strike. The force and motion of the red cubes tore a hole in the tree tops and plowed deep tracks in the ground on impact. The result is now exhibited in the park. It can be viewed as a brutal visit from Diagrams typical visual world or just a interpetation of plain chance. Perhaps they a good reason simply to be greateful you were somewhere else when the cubes hit the ground.
Exibition dates: 27th of June til the end of august. Reception on the 26th of June.
Technique: The cubes were made with the kind help from Triodev Entrepenad AB in Kungsängen. Each cube is solid cast concrete. Weight vaires from 200 kg (440 ponds) to 450 kg (1000 pounds). The total weight is approximately 3 tons (6600 pounds).
