She started off key, but eventually found it near the middle again and finished very nicely. Shes not great with strong vocals, but she did good here. She was obviously very nervous and it showed at the beginning of the song.... Its a very difficult song to sing and moves quick, so well done girl.

@kentishken Ah, but that's the genius of Madonna. She's singing entirely out of tune ... but she's singing it on Vh1. The song went Top 20. And she got thunderous applause from the audience. Who else can pull that off? No one but Madonna. She's not a great singer, dancer, actress, beauty, etc. But she's a genius and I love her.

it is in fact a very difficult to sing and i agree she sounds amazing , this is already post evita and her range and her breathing is much better , madonna is not a dancer nor a singer but she is a complete package one that ensures her longevity and i love her for that

as a singer myself i know that this is a very difficult song to sing, i think madonna sounds great.

I hope she didn't get bloody paid for this. I AM A MADONNA FAN but this is ghastly and appauling. Singers have good days and bad days, I know but this is beyond any form of excuse. Sorry but hope you can be as objective as I am as a true fan.
