Had some fun with a video of a dance at the church some months ago.
I made the animation with Dimp, then edited it into the video using Final Cut. Before you ask, yes it would be awesome if this feature would be built into Dimp but I want to release the first version as fast as I can so it will probably not be in 1.0.
Dimp Animator is a Pivot-like animation program that I'm developing, coming to the Mac this year. The final version will be priced below $20, and a free demo will be available.
Nice, but not particularly good editing

If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them because I'm a beginner with Final Cut and video editing in general. It's fun to do though.

Sure! Love to help, the first fault I see is that I can see a white outline around him. So I suggest that instead of increasing the keying amount; You use a matte effect. Not sure if fcp has one, if not then use a blur effect, Hope this helps! And also (again, I'm not sure if fcp has it) But it would look great if you motion tracked the stickman into the scene :) Love the actual animation though! :D

Thanks! The outline was supposed to be there. At first, I made it so that it was just the black figure, but people didn't notice it at all in the video, so that's where I added the timeline.
As for the tracking, yes. Didn't want to spend much more work on it ;-)

Oh I see, then just invert the colour to make the stick figure white :)

Came out pretty ugly. I like it like this. But you're right on the motion tracking.
