They were giving our services away for half price,so how do you make any money if you dont charge enough ,= total fucked up company

It's real simple for me. Any dhl vehicle I see out on the road, I try to run into a telephone pole. It's fun. Try it sometime.

No Faster had I seen a company run into the Ground faster than this! They Fucked AIRBORNE, a Company that had a solid standing in the shipping industry.

conquater, I hear 'ya! I was employed in the brokerage arm of DHL when this big layoff took place in 2003. I cannot tell you how we felt for these fellow employees tossed into the street. I am so glad I left DHL last year. They are a European outfit. What the hell do they care what happens to American employees?!

I'm sorry Eugene - I hope you're able to find work soon. We're in the same boat - my last day was January 4th. Best of luck to you, my friend! Airborne/DHL/ABX - same difference.

I retired from DHL in California in June '07. No one would've guessed that DHL would close it's Domestic shipping doors. Thousands more people un-employed in an already tough job market. "Didn't see that coming"? I guess our first clue should've been how DHL treated their own employees back during the merger with Airborne! It made me sick to think about my co-workers losing their jobs and still see the huge yellow and red banners at every major ball game on TV.
As an employee of ABX Air then DHL whose last day is tonight, I agree with what you wrote. I was in the business for 8 years. DHL killed themselves with the poor service, lack of training, the way the treated employees, bas management, etc.

I love America. Of course you could never ever do that in Germany, because they have more pro-employee laws regarding this. :D
