  • . But I would argue the very fact that so many "complain" is actually a tribute to the Founder's attempts to overcome this law with the Constitution they provided. The reality is they new it would fail one day. The compromise of the founding principles of the country have been under attack for 1/2 our history. It took a while but it has failed. Stupidity, selfishness, weakness and the lack of vision and common purpose is too great. I'll watch the rest of your list as I can. Regards, SFP

  • @SoFlaPatriot It is a hazard of human nature: ONLY when the conditions get so terrible in general for everyone, ONLY THEN do the people of so diverse circumstances tend towards unity for their survival. The better the lives of the people generally, the more likely groups will seek their own best interests --- often at the expense of the very people who helped them gain that which they have.

  • @Kingery4President I am confused by your reply. The hazard of disunity only occurs when things are going well? Well things must be going pretty good then, right? I am not talking unity "for survival" such as after an earthquake , hurricane, our other catastrophe. I am talking about general unity of a population for the benefit of the nation they inhabit; for the good of themselves, their children and posterity. Take the fiscal insolvency caused by runaway governmental incompetence for example.

  • @SoFlaPatriot When a society reaches the height of its "civilization" which usually a result of strong unity. Ideals take root where the individual acquire to themselves AT THE EXPENSE of others and not at the benefit to others. This is the seed of disunity, the failing of a civilization. Society worsens to a point where it either destroys the unity altogether, or the people within try to force that unity once again. Right now, the USA is on a fast and furious decline into total disunity.

  • Please could you post this LOUDER...so many people will be disinterested do to the audibility. You have so much to offer others. I'm listening, but I can put on my headphones which many might not have. Shirley Bless you and all the Endlessly Wonderful Dedicated Freedom Fighters

  • @shirleyz29 it will be quite some time before this happens. For me, all of life is an experiment. I am curious as to whether those who "hear" this series pass it along for others --- poor quality and all.

  • .ctd.. He stated, in essence, that Republics eventually grow in size and thus eventually become unstable and fail due to the disunity that emerges among the population. It is hard to argue that this isn't what we see today. In fact I think Montesque's law has been confirmed. I don't enjoy saying it.

  • Your points are quite valid. But you hit , in the end, the real crux of the problem. The real problem is that "We the People" have to agree and then act as a unit. That is impossible at this point. There is too much disinformation and ignorance. That is why I feel the theory that Montesque (sic?) argued, and the Founders sought to defy held true.

  • You may have to listen with ear/head phones
