To the people who think she is out of tune, she is NOT. She is simply singing the harmony to the song because it is lower and easier for her to do. If she attempted to sing the song like in the recording when shes doing it acoustically, her voice would probably crack and she might slip out of tune. But that doesn't go to say that she can't sing this song the way she recorded it, if you look up her singing this in a real concert, she hits all of the notes perfectly. Actually, she has quite a few parts where she is off key; quite flat in some parts. Not that I mind much because it's not ear-piercingly off... but you can't say "She's not 'off-tune' whatsoever."

are you kidding me?! why isn't ellie singing everything from her diaphragm? she obviously could do that, but here in this song, ellie mostly forces it straight out of her vocal cords, you can actually hear her vocal folds tearing just a tad under stress. get her a vocal coach right now or her voice will be gone within 5 years.
