does anyone else also hear chords of Ten Years Gone in this?!?!
-
@JBnotthescotch I hope you don't think Spirit are the "true authors" of this tune...as I said somewhere below, Spirit "ripped off" Davy Graham - Cry Me a River....
-
Nope, it's not different. Spirit apparently did plagiarised Davy Graham. I wasn't aware of Cry me a River. They are similar enough to warrant claims of theft.

Go listen to Pink Floyd's "Echoes". Sounds a lot like Phantom of the Opera, eh? They used the same chords in one part of the song. And they admit that. It's not stealing. Listen to the Beatle's "I saw Her Standing There". The bass line sounds like "When Then Saints Go Marching In." That's because it is! Just because they used the same run down doesn't mean they stole it.
-
Led Zeppelin didn't steal anything. Song can digg in you undermind, and I would say that Led Zep didnt knew that it sounded similar.
-
this is not a remix, is an original song from a very old band!!!! don´t you hear it is just the intro ... the the remainder of the Straiway to heaven is a composition of led !!!!
-
similar chord progression but "ripped off"? come on man
-
I hate plagiarism and the people who defend it. I'm glad I now know the true authors of this song.

@ls600h1 It's quite funny that Spirit "plagiarised" Davy Graham's tune, Cry Me a River...but I suppose that's different.
Everything is a remix
