Yes Steve Perry WAS awesome but he had left the group due to hip injury. We will always give respect to Steve Perry coz he had catapulted Journey to fame but Arnel Pineda has amazing vocals and he possesses Journey's legacy sound. Bravo, Arnel!

A friend told me that he saw Journey with Arnel 1 or 2 years ago, and he loved the concert. Seeing him here, what vocal ability and stage presence. Absolutely excellent.

@654magicman I'm not saying that Arnel doesn't have a voice, he does....but in my opinion Steve Perry's voice is just fantastic...It's just that Journey cannot replace Steve. I have been listening the Arnel again and again the past week and the songs are not just the same. It's nice to know you respect my opinion as I do yours. It just goes to show that everyone is entitled to their opinion...lol...but mine is better...(friendly hahaha)

@654magicman Sorry totally disagree with you. Arnel isn't as great as ppl are trying to make him. Maybe the people who are ass holes - are the people who believe what they are being told....ie....Journey saying that Arnel is just as great - he's not in all honesty. Arnel shouldn't try hitting that note at 230...he should just not sing anything, just let the music take it.....

he's the best replacement for steve, i'll always remember journey with steve, but oh well shit happens. one thing though is that arnel's just to much of a entertainer, steve wasn't like that.

didn't even know there was a leadvox named SP b4, and thought that OA was a MC orig...i've never been interested on Journey songs either..i was so into ledzep's, Beatles', Aerosmith, Deep Purple and the likes....tried listening to sp's renditions in yt, sad to say that upon hearing those 30+ ago songs, i could definitely say that sp couldn't ever turn me into a fan 'coz i don't think he rocks.. i see SP as uncool and his versions were lame..imho!
