the orginisation eta uses them also my father is from there and they feel a strong bond with the irish.

They are from "Asturias" an Spanish autonomic region, There and in "Galicia" an other automonic region, the bagpipes are really populars.

I'm not sure but they were really good. I looked through my pictures from the parade, it looked like a few were carrying some flags, but I don't think they were carrying any kind of a banner.
