Lakshmirnarayana Shankar, Jan Garbarek, Trilok Gurtu and Nana Vasconcelos live at 14th Debrecen Jazzdays 1985. Handycam fragments from the legendary live performance from Debrecen Sport Hall, Hungary. After the more than one and half hour show one more hour standing ovation... And after the concert (on the outside of the hall, at early morning) the communist police attacked the peaceful and happy music celebrating people...

  • The audience was around 3-5.000 people ... and they was in total extasis. They leave behind socialism and every isms...

  • Yeah these pieces are from the Song for Everyone album. What a masterpiece! Deep, yet easy too absorb (though the acoustics of this hall is rather "cold"). Those were special days for Jazzfestivals in Central and Eastern Europe, they were like peaceful hippyish antiestablishment celebrations, international get togethers, very similar to rock festivals in the late 60's. I was there, great memories, many thanks TeheranJuice!

Nagy kincs!

    Valóban irigyellek az élményért!

  • Incredible! This record on You Tube. Absolutely incredible!

God bless you TeheranJuice!...as I'm Hungarian.

  • @sakshama me too, i just love the quality of his music

  • I wished the "radio politics" allowed for more of this "Real Music" to be played and less of the commercial garbage they feed the world every day. Radio has a huge part in our society and is presently one of the major factors for the decay of our cultural awareness.

  • Gripping; Debrecen 1985- to 2011... Music from De Heaven's....
