  • Nice video. I understand the ABS technology..

  • @l337pwnage I agree it wont shorten stopping distances on most surfaces, however lets try this one spotted icey roads. This is one area I think ABS (might as I never seen a test myself) have an advantage. But also remember there are a lot of different ABS systems, some ABS only have once sensor for back wheels, some only have 2 for front and one for the back. And others have one for each wheel.

ESP and ESC systems are def a lot better then ABS because it actually makes intelligent decisions

  • yes, but how this shit works in a motorcycle?

  • The ABS System they are demonstrating is the Teves Mark 20 ABS System used the in the 1990s Chrysler J Cars (Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze, Sebring Convertible) the Chrysler minivans, and the Neon.

  • I have a video that shows stopping take longer with ABS than without, in snow conditions.

  • @syedkumail1 I"m guessing you're trolling, lol, but odds are that it probably reset itself by now, otherwise just go to a dealer and they'll troubleshoot it. If you do things like drifting which the ABS cannot compensate for, it thinks that it is broken and it shuts off and turns the "ABS INOP" light (or similar) on.

  • Actually, its a proven fact that ABS takes longer to stop in snow. ABS is primarily for idiots who try to stop and steer at the same time. It (basically) attempts to adjust the brake pressure to let you steer while you're standing on the brakes.

Its not as good as threshold braking, but its much easier to do.

  • Thanks! Now I get it. :D

  • I was going 30mph on a blvd and I ran a red light by a few feet. I had to slam on the brakes and had to backup. ABS save my life or else I would have gotten into an accident. ABS is best to have when getting a car. And most of you all wonder why I ran a red light by a few feet. Well, at least one time no matter how careful driver you are, you will do something wrong while driving regardless of whatsoever or whatever it is.

  • Hi! Have you heard about - fast abs magic (search on google)? Ive heard some decent things about it and my cooworker got detailed Six pack abs and lost a ton of belly fat with it.

  • Well I admit this is a great system, but with technological advances such as Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Brake Assist, Brake Force Distribution, Blind Spot Monitoring, Back Up Camera, Back Up Sensors, Lane Departure Waning, and some vehicles can stop them selves. We Have Gone FAR People !

  • @syedkumail1 ABS relay or sensor is bad. You need em replaced.
