@CVRogers17 ehh it depends on who does it. and story or dialogue won't hold it back, a movie adaptation doesn't have to adhere exactly to the source
-
Yes, there is an SotC movie in production. Do you want to know who is writing it? The guy from fucking Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Please just kill me now
-
@ripster813 The problem is, it would be lame for the most people to look at a guy slaying 16 colossi for 6 hours.

@naijaboygangsta rumors are just that, rumors. If rumors are so true then where is the halo movie that was cancelled a while back

This video feels like a movie. it's so epic. :D

rumors say that their planning a movie about Sotc

A SotC movie would suck tremendously. I can't see why everyone seems to think that porting games to movies is a good idea - it is not any better than doing the opposite, and look at how that nearly always turns out. If you added more dialogue or plot to SotC, you'd ruin its intentional vagueness, if you just filmed it as it is, then it'd become a mindless action flick as the magic of actually controlling and experiencing the game would be gone. It is perfect as a game, let's leave it there.

I´d love to see a movie about it, but for that they should try to understand the meaning of silence in the game, and to make a character who was human enough to show real affect for what it wants and a lot of sacrifice after fighting those colossus, like he was going to die...

This is a nice video. Way better than my own work from older accounts, which used most of the music used here, surprisingly.

I feel that if they made a movie, it just wouldn't be good. Like I really wish I could see a movie somehow from this, but I just don't think it would work. There would be a story and all SotC fans would hate it because it wouldn't be like the game. The game is true beauty though. Somehow the ending just pierced my heart. Seeing all this abandoned land and the corpses of these giants that just wanted to be left alone. It just somehow... leaves me... hurt, but complete at the same time.
@ripster813 i love shadow of the colossus, but as a movie, it wouldn't do well. There is not enough story or dialogue to keep it afloat as an entertaining movie. The reason why it was a game was because it was made for the world to be interactive and for you to expierience it in a intricate and beautiful way that only an interactive format could fully realise.
