In this Fishing The Edge clip Guesty and Barney are back on Lake Macquarie targeting flathead on the range of Berkley Gulp Soft Baits. Guesty runs through some advanced techniques on what lure to use at different times of the year to maximize your chance of catching more fish!
By hard, I mean that you can't really store Berkely plastics outside of their resealable packet or they simply go hard and stiff and are then watsed. The other big advantage to Squidgies is their Pro Range. This range of plastics comes with S-Factor a bite stimulant that no other lure brand has managed to top.
What many people don't like to tell you is that they will buy Squidgies just fro the S-Factor, to use it on their Berkelys Plastics... It's just that good!

I must agree with Bigroo on his call, he's 100% right about Squidgies being much better than anything berkely has to offer. However, you gotta use the sponsors gear so I can understand why you use what you use.
The bigest issue with Gulp and infact any Berkely plastics to the unwary buyer is this, you will get 3-4 tails in a pack of 10 that are deformed through manufacture and are unusuable. Unlike Squidgies. Not to mention out of the packet. berkeleys plastics go hard and are then useless :/

I have always wanted to do more soft plastic fishing, this clip has certainly inspired me to buy some more soft plastics.
