It allows all the telephones in the house to be accessed from the two phone lines from different TelCos. Before we had 2 telephones in the living room with either line. Rather inconveint, no?It also works as an intercom system between the various phones in the house.

@ashleystevenson Thats my ring tone from my cell. I called it from both land lines. using the PABX system.
