In March 2008, the multi-millionaire owner of A4E, Emma Harrison, appeared on the Channel 4 programme The Secret Millionaire. She visited Dagenham and worked undercover as a bog cleaner whilst looking for someone deserving of her money.

Rather than travel all the way to Dagenham, she could just have easily visited any of her A4E office, where she could have found someone worthy of her money amongst the poor downtrodden New Deal Claimants. But that wouldn't have the same PR value would it.

I attend Working Links and my advisor told me NOT to apply for SIA or Forklift training 1000s of people have gone this route and most have ever used their qualifcations after getting them l was never interested in Security but unless you pay yourself for the badge all you have is the test you passed,as explained by Advisor so unless you want to shell out and go for it l would start to look for something else,my last place of work l thought l was the lowest paid person until i spoke to Security

Yes I think I will, I called the job centre and spoke to an advisor about it and asked him about what can be done about the situation, he more or less said that it was out of their hands, so I am writing a letter to Alistair Darling about it today!

A4e asked me to sit the SIA course, I paid for it myself under the impression that they were going to pay for the badge at the end of it. They lied so they could fill a gap with a result that really means nothing in the real world!

I've been at A4E in Edinburgh, they have failed to help me into employment!

I sat the SIA licence course to become a security guard as this seems to be where the jobs are at the moment, A4E promised to pay for my licence fee £250 if I passed the course, got my certificate today and called A4E to inform them and they stated that they don't pay for it. This is Discretionary Funding that is paid for by the tax payer and being stolen by this woman!
