Christmas was created for the celebration of Christs birth. I am a Christian, but i think this statement makes people scared of Christians and gives them a totally wrong portrayal of Christianity. It makes us look crazy instead of loving and caring. Just share the love of God with people. This is just giving people an opportunity to say, "See this is why I don't go to church. These people are insane!". Telling them that Jesus loves thm would be way more affective and would draw people, not repel

Celebrating Jesus (who created winter solstice)is cool anytime! Where would civilization be without him? HIS-STORY, His impact on education, law (Lex Rex), equal rights for ALL, personal freedom AND responsibility, hospitals, orphanages, end of tyranical governments...all have their roots in Judeo-Christian writings. Free civilizations/governments don't last w/o those roots. Look at the govt's, living conditions, of people groups worldwide who adhere to non-Judeo/Christian beliefs.

It's funny since Jesus was never the "reason for the season." No where is Christmas found in the Bible. People, you need to find out what the true origins of Christmas are.
