  • Very cool. I love history & learning of John Wilkes Booth

  • Thanks for bringing this forward! It just never made any sense that an actor randomly shot a president unprovoked. I can't wait to read the book now.

  • It's also interesting that Ullysses Grant and his wife coincidentally did not attend the show with President Lincoln that evening. They had a "sudden change of plans." We can only speculate.

  • This is interesting.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • Awesome , Very Interesting.

  • Thats very interesting

  • Just got a copy of the book yesterday at 4pm and was unable to put it down until midnight. I'll have another go at it today. So far I'm absolutely hooked, as I thought I would be. I've been doing some independent research into JWB and am beginning to realize that what I was taught in grade school is far from the truth. Booth was a good man - and from personal experience, when good men are condemned, it's usually by tyrants.

  • I personally believe that the Northern Congress had Lincoln shot over patronage control of the captured provinces of the South. Booth most likely worked for them WHICH IS WHY HE GOT AWAY WITH IT! (Lincoln had wanted to let the Scalawag Liberal Unionist part of theSouth up easy )

Of course, the Northern Congress also caused Secession through their Liberal legislation, and to cover that folly, started the war at Sumter by refusing to give the South their means of coastal protection.

  • fascinating! 5*

  • Wow. Theres always two sides to every story. I must read the book.

  • very interesting! your research appears to be thorough and is credible. good work and well produced.
