  • Is this bumper included on the complete series DVD set?

  • @MistressEbony Not sure. This came from a recording of the actual broadcast back in 1985.

  • I distinctly remember watching this live broadcast--they all performed perfectly! I wonder if that could happen today...

  • BTW thank you for posting, this is incredibly rare to see

  • @MistressEbony the bumper is not included on the DVD set

  • @MistressEbony- i have the DVD set- the bumper is not on there, but the intro ("Live From Hollywood, it's Gimme a Break!") is there.

  • Not likely, 'Ebony'. The "master" tapes of the show were used for the DVD sets...which didn't include the special "NBC bumper" Nell appeared in before the opening (the episode aired live in the East and Midwest; West Coast viewers saw the taped edition).

  • This is the first time I've seen that bumper since this episode originally aired. I specifically remember her saying "Shut up about it". Nice to see it again.

  • I think it is . I have to watch again. If it is i'll Iet you know.@MistressEbony

  • Which stage manager gave the countdown before the opening credits?
