A note from DJ .. (click *more info* to read)

I decided to make some keyboard vids every once in awhile that are purely improv. That means no preparation whatsoever, just sit down and start playing. Here's the second. Let me know what ya think. Mp3's and free license to use my music in your youtube videos always available on request for subscribers :)

*I almost didn't upload this one, but I decided to stick to my plan and upload everything I do when I sit down to record this series. This is pure unedited and unrehearsed, so it's a way for me to track my progress and improvement. I welcome your feedback, as always.

  • Thanks so much, yours too Ben!

  • Wow, you do this completely improv? I hope you record what you play to an MP3 and write note sheets for them, since they're pretty brilliant.

    Great music :)

  • that's really good, love the tempo and the feeling that's put into the chords.. I'm currently trying to relearn everything i've forgotten about chord progressions.. So far i can only do things with D-major..

I do need a synthesiser and a nice monome..

Vidpro, check out on google: Edison Rocks the Monome.

That's something you might like, especially with that keyboard you have, it'd be a great thing to play around with!

  • this is on my birthday =D

  • fantastic

  • Oh my god,

    TEACH ME!!!!

  • good song=)

  • Well, you can get keyboards that do have weighted keys nowerdays, though they will run you around £400/$700. They feel about as close as you can get to a real acoustic piano, so a long as you can afford it, it's probably the best choice you have. If you look for somewhere that sells YAMAHA pianos, they're usualy a good bet.

(Sorry to intrude, but I just thought I could help.)

  • nice! i hope it's Pure Improv as today people don't no longer understand what it means..

    really nice!
