This form is described as old tree or monkey form, because of the low stances that develop your legs and the attacks striking upward from below the waist respectively.
@yTubeBengel There is some relation to Tae Kwon Do as the Karate influence of Kajukenbo comes from Tang Soo do, or as it was referred to back in those days as Korean Karate.
This is a Wun Hop Kuen Do form. Nothing to do with Tae kwon do. WHKD has its roots in Kajukenbo, which has its roots in Karate, judo, kempo and boxing.
@proenamel If you understand and know the history of Kajukenbo/Wun Hop Kuen Do then you would understand where this form comes from, why it is done the way it is, and why it is Kung Fu. You should research more before assuming anything and making ignorant comments.
Wow, I'm so glad I came across your films! I remember learning this years ago in Portland, OR and watching it brings it all back clear as day. Now I can start practicing it again. What a wonderful thing for you to post them. THANK YOU!
This hua kuen looks to disciplined to be a "monkey form!" We all know monkeys lack discipline. Where did this originate?

Nice, thanks for posting, I practice this form now for a few weeks, and this video helps to remember the steps.

@thiersche I learned this in Portland as well, under Sifu Al Dacascos, before he retired :)
And yes, very well done, and thanks for putting it up!

This isn't Kung fu you've taken steps from Tae kwon do and tried to make them into a kung fu form.

Looks alot like Palama sets 1-4 with a bit more Kung-Fu flare. Very nice to watch.
