If it was so bad for Turkish people as you guys claim it was for them living in in Cyprus why did they not go back to their beloved Turkey and live among their own people? They invaded Cyprus took half of it and did nothing with it just left it to rot i think that speaks for itself. The person who is talking in this video is most likely being funded by the greek cypriot properganda machine. For a start it mentions greeks and turks living happily, what a load of dog crap. My mother is from Famagusta, and when she was young(before 1974), went to school in fear of greek attacks on them. Greeks were armed and randomy shot at turkish cypriots, spat at them as they walked by, treated them like animals and made life hell for the turks.

That part of the city is still in ruin. But, the "tone" of this video is completely false. I lived in Famagusta for a year. I taught at EMU. I can tell you that it is "actually" quite vibrant. This video is dangerously close to propaganda.

when i see those images of my home town, it's as though time stood still for me, the streets, and shops i visited, my school and home i once lived in, friends and people i knew as a kid, and know here we are exiled, banished from our homes, please i beg of the powers that be, don't hurt us no more it's 36 long years and we've bean punished enough, lets put our differences behind us and live like normal human beings, but please let us go and build our already shuttered lives.

The Turkish have no right to be in Cyprus and they had no right to invade the Cyprus. They have turned a beautiful part of the island into a shit hole and i hate them for that, they have done nothing with the north of the island apart from run it down and it seems the only reason they are still in north Cyprus is because they are doing it out of spite and think that letting go of the North means they have lost. The UN and EU needs to punish Turkey harshly for these terriable crimes!
