The title track on the "Condemned" album from 1991.

If Metal music could be translated into paintings,
"Condemned" would be a Picasso.

Line up:

Scott Jeffreys - vocals
Brian Shoaf - guitar
Ivan Colon - guitar
Cary Rowells - bass
Steve Shelton - drums

Lyrics:

Joining me in your search of peace,
the latest findings in your quest for pain.
You reach, I resist, I forgive, you condemn,
your expressions to condemn.

Condemned is everyone's belief,
if not the same as yours.

Fantastic views of reality,
seduction of your burning mind.
You reach, I resist, I forgive, you condemn
your expressions to condemn.

Difference of opinion,
my way is not like yours.
Difference of opinion,
that doesn't mean I'm wrong!

  • @camrunker They were probably thinking of going in a new direction.

They are SUPPOSED to be somewhat painful to listen to. Goes with their lyrics.

Instead of completely being a money-machine like other bands, they did whatever they wanted, and put their message before their greed.

  • Vocals are awesome....fuck the haters!

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!

  • @melowar78 come on guy..

  • @Solitude102 ..I did something?

  • @Wyndrax I see what you did there, lol'ed.

  • kick-ass. start to finish. One of my favorite bands, ever. None of my friends or family has ever agreed with me. Nice to see others appreciating Confessor.

  • Great vocals, but what the hell is wrong with the drums?

  • @Sekkingstad I really like Otep's "Warhead," but I think the rest of the album gets repetitive pretty fast.

  • @moparmonster1965 I totally agree with you on that modern metal just isn't very good. Except for a very few bands, ofcourse.

  • @Sekkingstad Eh, they were trying to be different and came of a little contrived with this album. I cut my teeth on thrash and was into the scene when death metal was fresh and new. Nowadays, metal is old and stale with nothing left to be said.

  • @moparmonster1965 Whatever. I'm just sorry you don't get the same experience as me from listening to these guys. However, I've been listening to metal and music in general long enough to tell you that these guys are smart, and not a bad band.
