  • The world needs more badasses like Stan Hansen.

  • Lariato! I could watch this all day. You've got to love the guy for his logic. "Hmmm, I can't see without my glasses, and I can't wrestle with my glasses...and I don't want to look fake...So I guess I'll just hit harder. Problem solved!"

    Hansen is the man.

  • @theSonicYouth im makin a caw stan hansen on wwe smackdown v raw :)

  • @steeldragon1981 The AWA stuff was at the end of his first US run, and then he went to Japan and became huge.

His WCW run was the last time he wrestled in America. He could have had a good few years stateside. In Japan after 1991. AJPW after that was de-emphasizing gaijins and Hansen only really did anything with the Triple Crown.

Again, it's a "what-if" scenario. He did great in Japan, but who knows what a last run in America with good booking would have done with him.

  • @DevilTakeMe Eh, he still never really drew in America. He had the one feud with Sammartino, and he was AWA Champion, but he didn't draw and AWA was on the way out by then. In America he was mediocre at best. He was stiff, which isn't well-liked in America, and even had a reputation as being borderline unsafe to work with. Now maybe that was American wrestlers not like his stiff style, I don't know. Like I said, the guy was tailor made to be a top giajin in Japan rather like Vader actually.
