Carnegie Mellon University's new H. John Heinz III College was dedicated Oct. 24 with a ceremony featuring Paul O'Neill, former U.S. Treasury Secretary and member of the Heinz College Deans Advisory Council. He emphasized the vital role technology must play in policy and the impact that it will have on society a fitting speech given Heinz Colleges unique blend of public policy, management and technology disciplines.

Teresa Heinz, chairman of the Heinz Family Philanthropies and The Heinz Endowments, was also in attendance and delivered a presentation on behalf of the Heinz Family to alumni and other guests. Formerly the Heinz School of Public Policy & Management, the Heinz College vision expands the academic menu and enriches its full-time graduate programs.
