this is in Maggie Valley NC, close to Cherokee NC, in the Great Smokey Mtns - at an attraction called Ghost Town in the Sky.
This family friendly attraction is on top of a mountain that has an elevation of almost 5000' - the chairlift is a 3,370' climb - it's great fun.

we went there and saw this ride break down a few times.. i wouldnt ride this ride.. the safety bar wouldnt lock a few times.. they had to send it up by itself to reset it.. no way i would ride that thing.. lol
