D-Day... not to be confused with the historic battles of DDay of World War II, no, this DDay refers to the drawing battles held by the animation & illustration department at SJSU. animators and illustrators compete both in drawing and costume. The object is to draw, in 30 seconds, the individual who is modelling. The crowd cheers for the winner, the loser, takes the model stand as another pair of artists man the drawing boards. Over the years, D-Day has become more about the costumes and acting than the actual 30-second gesture drawings. :-) This is the promo for last year's DDay... can't wait for next years
Wow. I wish my class was like this.
