This dress is not EMILIO PUCCI, It is FUTURA COUTURE New York.

Maxfields was in the 1980's!

Part 44- On my vintage couture collection.
Info from an online site:
"Youthquake was the creation of Puritan Dress Company president Carl Rosen and Paul Young, an employee at JC Penney who had been working to update its image for the young market. Rosen and Young brought together much of the bright new talent in Europe such as Mary Quant and Emmanuelle Khahn, and added a group of creative young Americans to the mix. Included were Betsey Johnson, Deanna Littel and Joel Schumacher.

To sell these new clothes, they opened Paraphernalia, a boutique along the lines of what was happening in London. The plan worked, and by 1968, there were 44 Paraphernalia franchises in the US. By that time, most of the bright, young talent had moved on. The last Paraphernalia store closed in about 1976."

QUOTE FROM A PRESS RELEASE!
"Francisco Medavogs collection started off as a small sampling of some European couture designs to help him study FASHION design. By looking at the French seams and other intricacies, he learned about couture construction through the true masters of design. This hobby quickly became a collection of more than 25,000 fashion items, primarily 20th century European designs, with a number of them extending back to the 1920s and 30s.

"At first, I didn't quite understand why so many people were interested in seeing these clothes," says Francisco. "For me, the clothes were simply great examples of what I was able to study while at the Fashion Institute. Now, I feel that my collection is the beginning of a wonderful museum collection."

"I'd love to open the first American Fashion Museum, devoted solely to fashion and couture, similar to Zandra Rhodes' museum in London."
