76079 on The Cambrian August 09 Part 3

This is the final part to chasing Pocket Rocket on the Cambrian which looks like the last time it will do this. We got up early and caught it coming into Barmouth over the estuary bridge. Then its seen at Talsarnau on what was a very windy day AGAIN and we did have the occasional very heavy shower. On the way cars were stopping as the weather was so bad and not safe to drive in. luckily we went through it.

Good shots Lou especially in those conditions. The loco is perfectly suited to this picturesque line. So quick to pick up speed from the stops to fit in with the unit's timetable. But, as you say it looks like the last year for the Rocket. A bit of a longer trip to the NYMR to see her in the future. Guess she'll mostly be on the Whitby jobs. Chris

thanks, it was an early morning start for barmouth shot and the weather condtions we drove through to Talsarnau were horrendous
