  • The United Arab Emirates winger Theyab Awana, who became an internet sensation when he scored a back-heeled penalty in the summer, has died following a car accident.

The country's football federation confirmed that the 21-year-old, who also played for the UAE club Bani Yas, was killed while travelling back from training in Al Ain to Abu Dhabi.

  • @13Bilbo13 of course man they've to add their skills but that applies only if the first step was right. For example in Miller's shot..Reina jumped to the opposite side lol nevertheless, the ball hit the post. see how luck works :)

  • @MrArsenall99 - so sad :(

  • Fifa, don't even think about adding this in 13, wont...work

  • @hazoom2009 Keepers do their research as well. Did you watch the Carling Cup final for example? Heaton's penalty save in the shoot out vs Gerrard, that was more than just geussing the right way!

  • rest in peace

  • @TripleDoubleNoAssist I was referring to the goalkeeper not the taker. Timing resides within the 'expectation' factor, the goalkeeper will guess where the ball will be, if it's on the far right let's say then he'll adjust his timing accordingly. Accuracy doesn't apply for the goalkeeper I believe..

  • @13Bilbo13 you've already said it, guess the right way and not save it, and that's luck to me. The only skill the keeper has is to distract the player, expect where the ball will be, cross his fingers and jump.

  • He had the touch of jesus

  • And for those saying the keeper could have said it, he had committed to diving to the other side, you can see him shift his weight...

  • @hazoom2009 That is rubbish. A keeper can guess the right way and not save it and vica versa, there is a lot of skill for both the keeper than the striker!
