@RockmannCRX The thing with Blackmore, I read an interview in one of the booklets of a an album, he said that he would record or play a solo right then and there, he said that after he couldnt remember the solo and could not duplicate, the only solo he could remember after playing it once was highway star he says. So I noticed that in most live performances ritchie improvises, i dont know, maybe thats the reason? either way amazing guitarist

Good Cover!

Well originally in the studio, Ritchie played a Gibson for the song Child In Time...

I always wanted to see Blackmoore duplicate this solo live, and I have not found him playing it like the record live at anytime on any video in Purple's career. He should have played it like this live. You did a great job!

Great man!..good job, enchanteted from it, a very deteiled solo cover, probably the same Ritchie's hands movements :) really amazing, sure!..You rock guy!..Deep Purple rulez!
-
thats why we should learn fluidity in picking. this solo is much of a right hand alternate picking. the left hand is simply Aminor pentatonic which is quite simple.its fun to learn and play this solo. i wish im good as you man.
-
wow. fuckin sick job man that's not an easy one. are you just alternate picking that last part of the solo?
-
Jesus H. tap dancing christ!

I agree with raiotek87, one of the best on youtube.
A little faster on switching pickups maybe. And a liitle further stretch around 1:50 - just a bit flat there.
Otherwise, great! 5 Stars!

very nice!!!
what is that guitar? epiphone?
Gosh Dangit, holy mother of burnin fingers! that's gotta be the best rendition of this solo on youtube! Dude, you freaking kick ass! You know how to replicate every accentuation, I especially was pulling for you at 1:36, where you have the bend followed by the double fifths, then the bend on the b string, geez that's tough... Congratulations How long did it take you to practice that?

sooo somewhat heavy gain and reverb?
earearman 4 years ago
not too much gain, with that guitar i actually had it on about 6 1/2. but my new guitar has a much cleaner sound, so i turn it up a bit. it also needs to be quite trebley
