She remembered everything asked, she just had a hard time thinking of the names
of all the hundreds of people she worked with. She had a bad stroke in 1995 and after that she had a hard time with talking but she soldiered on. She did not have Altzhimers as evident in her good answers to the questions. She just had trouble with the names but when the interviewer said them she knew exactly what she was talking about.

I think names were just always issues. Im not sure if she had alzheimers, or the normal aging process of Dementia/brain atrophy, or stroke in her later years. Alz usually hits before the 80's But I dont know..I do know that docs often refer to normal aging mem loss as Alz.

As hard as it was for her to remembeer things in this interview, I imagine she got even worse in her final days because of the alzeimer's she had. It's so sad. When a person gets alzeimers, it's almost as if they're already dead. Because they lose all memory of the many wonderful things they accomplished in their lives (and the lives they touched). I wish I could have met her at least once in my lifetime. But I guess I'll have to wait until I get to Heaven for that.

@evenstar01 yeah i noticed, she didn't seem very sympathetic towards her during her memory lapses ... kinda cold. RIP Francis Ried, we all love you !
