Yesterday's Today: Doo Wop Supreme

Consider this 1983 profile of what is arguably one of the nation's top doo wop vocal groups a world premier. Long Island, New York's "Yesterday's Today" is a harmonious on-the-move delight in this TV story that was only broadcast in Huston, Sacramento, Indianapolis and Tulsa on an afternoon program that was gearing up to go truly national. That never happened, "Afternoon" disappeared, but Yesterday's Today, evidently, still harmonizes with 4 of the 5 original guys. Mention Hempstead, NY and I still think -- WOW! - Sid Fortune.

I heard these guys way way back. Possibly outside Radio City. They had been invited in to sing because they are so good. I still have the 45 of them singing "Who's That Knocking". Thanks for posting this. They are fantastic. I would love to hear them now.
