the UFC has tried to discredit Fedor mostly because he refused to take a poor deal, granted Fedor is not the fighter he used to be, but even 4 years ago the UFC wanted him badly and when they couldn't have him they went to plan B and tried to bury him in the public eye, the UFC refuses to co-promote and virtually has a monopoly on MMA, most fighters don't speak out against the UFC for fear they will lose their jobs, a lot of mid-tier guys make very little money and there's no recourse
