A crappy turntable look at the grass I've been working on. Settings change at frame 165 from a density camera-distance gradient falloff to no falloff at all -- turns out that looks far better.
FiberFX is very sensitive to scale: the fox is 10 meters long. I turned off the fox's fur as it was crashing the app: with both grass and fur active the system just can't take it until I fine-tune the fur density (or something.
I'm trying to get to where I can control the grass density with both a Camera-distance gradient PLUS a alpha channel to lessen the number of fibers generated, and hence make it render faster, more reliably. For instance, there's probably 'grass' on the bottom of the pond, it's just obscured by the water polygon. Getting BOTH the gradient and the alpha to work has been difficult.
