@Romeowasbleeding1 Or are you just dense?

@PhilosophicalViking uuummmm..... well duh. Isn't that what all composers try to do? In case you didn't know, music is - sometimes, just as even painting and sculpture sometimes are - an art. Guess what!! Writing is an art too! Sure Bach is the greatest composer ever to live along with Beethoven (who is perhaps the greatest artist of any medium as well), but that doesn't mean that something composed by Brahms or Mahler isn't art too. I can see why you call yourself a philosophical viking.

@Romeowasbleeding1 But you understand what the man was trying to get across though? Fine they had good hygiene but that still doesn't mean their music was meant to sound like a production line.

@1y Of course they are better than The English Concerto with that detestable Trevor Pinnock. Every recording is better than the ones that ass puts out. It is indeed a mystery why him and that other ass, Sir Neville Marriner, get the most attention. Perhaps it is because of snobby critics who critique their works as being the most "proper" or most "professional". The simple fact is that both of the aforementioned asses may as well be secretaries than harpsichordist/directors.

@NoahSV They bathed quite regularly, and it was common to brush ones teeth everyday. In fact, the tooth brush was invented in 1750, while soap had been commonly used since the Crusades. I don't know how people ever imagined that in such a time in which beauty and style were exemplified people somehow neglected hygiene. Myths are strange things.

I don't know about you guys, but Bach and I were real homies back in the day.

J S Bach was a great protestant who was hated by the pagan romanist scum.

I saw a movie about Bach´s live ....... in the scene when the painter took this portrait he said "oh god - you paint me so ugly that it looks like me ........ and sitting so long. The painter must have been gone with him to the church and listen hours of playing Bach on the organ ............. I wish I was the painter in that private concert ............
Not only was Bach a wonderful composer, he was a prodigious player of the harpsichord among other instruments. Back in the day it was him tearing up that harpsichord solo.

Listening to this is like spending a good 40 minutes in a hammock on a breezy summer day.
