  • Can that work for any conditioner? I use Tresemme naturals moisturizing conditioner

  • @wreckincrew92 It might work with that conditioner. Just make sure not to mix the conditioner and store it that way because adding anything to a conditioner can dilute the preservative and make it go bad quicker. Making the mix and using it the same day is the best :)

  • so could you use flax seed gel to make the cond. slippery too?

  • @swtcarmel1 That could possibly work, I haven't tried adding flax seed to conditioner so I am not sure. The marshmallow root is thin and very slippery, similar to flax seed gel but not exactly the same.

  • @1ballerina I tried it (flax seed for slip) today ! I made a thinner consistency than the gel you would normally use for definition ... I used 1 cup of water and 1 tbsp of flax seed... I added about half of the gel I made to one cup of cond... (I used a cond. that has no slip at all) and it was amazing!!!!! Thanx for the idea...u planted the seed!

  • @swtcarmel1 :-D

  • Wow, just tried this with my homemade conditioner and it worked amazingly well. Even better than KCKT. Good stuff.

  • @pinkpeachie1 Hi, I purchased the marshmallow root from a co-op, an organic health food store in the herb section. You might be able to call around to health food stores and/or herb shops to see if they carry it :)

  • Thank you for this vid!!

  • where exactly did you purchase it from?

  • @liquidbutta18 You're welcome! What a pleasure to hear! Yes boiling it is great and then you can reboil as you said :) I will usually make enough for what I need on a particular day so that I don't have to worry about storing it. When storing it in the refrigerator without a preservative, treat it just like a food product :) You might be able to freeze the mucilage in small batches to keep it fresh longer but I haven't tried that :)
