The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That's the official name for what is popularly known as the Mormon Church. Most people associate Mormons with missionaries on bikes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and polygamy. Of course, that's not the whole story. The Mormons are a peculiar people, with a unique set of beliefs and quite a history.

Meet Mitt Romney. Romney is a Mormon Republican who'd like to be the next president. People are asking the question: Will his religion affect whether or not evangelicals vote for him? That's a good question. But to many of us evangelical Christians in Utah who witness to Mormons, we think there are more important questions. Will this be an opportunity for the public to learn about what Mormonism really teaches? Will the doctrines of Mormonism be accurately portrayed? Will people understand the differences between Mormonism and Biblical Christianity?

This video is more about Mormonism than it is about Mitt Romney. We use an interview Romney had on the Charlie Rose show as a springboard for conversation.

  • I understand people wanting to understand or shed more light onto Mormons, that is perfectly acceptable and reasonable. But what are these videos really trying to accomplish?

  • There are many religions and many interpretations of religion. Mormonism is a religion like Christianity, Isalm, Buddhism, Judaism, etc. One shouldn't be defensive about these differences - these religions are different so why not acknowledge these differences? I don't see why any non-Christian religion, or adeherent thereof, would seek to identfiy with Christianity. My problem is not with voting for someone who embraces a different religion, but with someone who would hide what they belive.

  • It is so funny that Jesus Christ came back and made people touch Him not only to show he was resurrected being..but, to show us once resurrected the body and Spirit unite as one. You people are so funny.. Do you even read the Bible? What exactly does God say in Genesis when he creates man? Really? Did you read it?

  • I think Warren Jeffs gives more information about the LDS, then Mitt Romney will.
