  • coming from a person that was on the sato team for 'departure' two years ago (all stop motion that was similar to this)... i totally disagree with the "F for originality" comment.... just because someone uses stop motion... doesn't mean its not original... thats like saying if you use film then youre not original...

  • @smsuphish I agree, someone somewhere has always done something similar, especially at the level we're at. I think what makes SATO48 so amazing is that you have videos that pretty much span the distance from super duper crappy to "really?? a helicopter?!?! really?!?!", but people enjoy them all just the same and the teams enjoy making them. It's all about the journey more so than the destination.

  • A for production but F for originality. The still clips idea has been used in music videos. I think you could have thought about something a little more original. Isn't that the point of the SATO48?

  • @renahamilton Hey, an 'A' plus an 'F' gives us an average of a 'C'... heck yeah! That's better than my GPA was in college!

  • Thought the preacher was awesome! great video man, was glad you asked me to be a part of it.

  • Erin was especially good. The entire movie very special.

  • Don't get me wrong, it was really great and I can't wait to see what you do next year. Good luck at the award ceremony...you deserve an award for something because it was good.

  • @renahamilton also along with my other comment.. i think that the point of SATO to me is not at all to be as original as you can... its to get people together to make SOMETHING... sure be as creative as you can... but borrowing from others is par for the course in ALL art... if it was simply 'be as original as possible' then the entries would be quite hard to watch. Especially since mine would consist of every frame being carved out of a dead dolphin's skull... now THATS original

  • I thought it was hilarious! Well played. ATM 4 LIFE.

  • Man that was an awesome first entry into SATO!! Congrats man, beautiful work!
