@OreadNYC I love when the stuff themselves in jars. But an octopus can actually unscrew a cork of a jam jar as well. It will take from 10 sec up to an hour depending how tight the lid is. They are marvelous animals. And they like to hide in small spaces like jars.

@Guilthas -- I remember reading a science magazine when I was a child which showed an octopus in a tank being presented with a clear glass jar containing a shrimp. Quickly realizing that something was stopping it from reaching the shrimp, the octopus explored the jar with its tentacles and apparently figured out the jar had an opening which was blocked (stopped with a cork). The octopus then pulled the cork out, reached in, grabbed the shrimp, ate it...and stuffed itself in the jar.

@Guilthas -- Yes, indeed. When you consider the fact that most cephalopods don't even have a skeleton and that they're mostly muscle, their intelligence is even more remarkable.
