is the composer still alive who did the 1985 theme? The original composer, Fred Steiner, passed away this weekend.

I had to make a trip with the train and although i had a first class ticket i had to stand while it was very warm. Than i thought about this song and saw my situation as a verdict :)

Unlike so many other remakes, the Perry Mason tv movies were a successful revival of the show. Praised by the critics and with good viewing ratings.
William Katt, btw, was Barbara Hale's son.

The remake of the Perry Mason theme music was very good in the revival TV movies that Burr starred in between 1985 and 1993. Probably because it was done by Dick De Benedictis; a seasoned mystery theme composer who worked on Columbo.

When Mr.Burr was asked to play"Perry Mason"again for
this NBC TV Movie crime drama. He told the exec producer..that he'd do it only if
Ms.Barbara Hale play"Della Street"again. She didn't want to do it..but Ray said"I woint do it without
you Barbara"and they did these"PM"TV Movies to 1993.
